stilleto The Alpine Canada Book Project
about

The Alpine Canada Book Project will present to the world the finest alpine climbs of Canada in the form of two major books: Canadian Alpine Classics, a large-format hard cover coffee table book and Alpine Canada Select, the guidebook. The two books will cover the major alpine climbing regions of Canada, encompassing the richness of Canadian alpine values from the aesthetic to the cultural, the environmental, and high achievement. Publication will be 2011–2012.

The authors are the award-winning trio of Chris Atkinson, Marc Piche, and Kevin McLane, who have teamed up with High Col Press, the pre-eminent publisher of North American alpine guides and Arc'teryx, the globally-acclaimed Canadian manufacturer of high-end mountain clothing and equipment. Marc and Chris are international IFMGA guides and authors of the award-winning Bugaboos Guide, and Kevin is the author of many popular rock and alpine guides. Marc lives in Canmore Alberta, and Chris and Kevin in Squamish, British Columbia.

The books are dedicated to climbers everywhere who are passionate about the great alpine climbs of Canada, and all those who draw inspiration from its vast mountain landscapes.
